And here's an all new dynamic duo! Well, they're not totally new, they've been around for a while...

So, the boy is Gin, the last child of Kesi and the Doctor. He's defiant, rebellious and loud-mouthed, and is an absolute nightmare for any of his teachers to handle. He's got a verrrry big chip on his shoulder concerning authority figures, and the only adult he truly admires and respects is Caiaphas, his uncle. Caiaphas ends up whisking Gin away from the classroom and teaches him all he knows, which are the only kinds of lessons Gin ever wanted.

Caiaphas believed that one of the ways to soothe the fiery teenager was to get him something that would trust him and give him a sense of responsibility. Gin got this in the form of Bacardi, a petite palomino filly that was half Time Steed and all attitude. It was destiny that the foolhardy filly and the angry teenager were Chosen partners, and the two have been pretty much inseperable ever since. That doesn't mean to say that they get on well...

At first, Gin was adamant that horses were a girl's thing and refused to pay his foal much attention. Bacardi however stopped at nothing to get his attention, which caused Gin's irritation to bloom. As Bacardi grew up, Gin still handles her a little harshly sometimes, but now she has the ammunition to retort. Needless to say, Gin has been bucked off many times for either calling her a nag or by pulling on the reins a little too roughly. Nevertheless, Bacardi looks out for him and does care a great deal for him. It's just...tough love. she is one of the grumpiest mares you'll ever come across though. Comes from staying with Gin. |D
